Company Bio

Based in Orange County, CA, and established in early 2014, The Assembly is a company of dancers, choreographers, and artists collaborating to create original dance-based works and events. They incubate new dances and the designs and artworks that support them, including costume and set design, sound and lighting, and graphic design and photography. In addition to producing their own events in such non-traditional dance spaces as art galleries, warehouses, and yoga studios, The Assembly has performed at RAW Artists (OC Performer of the Year), the So Cal Dance Invitational, DRC/Pentacle’s Home Grown at the Bootleg, and at Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, GA. In 2017, they were presented by the Orange County Great Park, Casa Romantica, and Dance Aegis and Acts of Matter in T3THERING.’s Jeff Slayton called The Assembly “something wonderful happening in Orange County” and “definitely…a company to watch.”
