The Assembly Dance is a flexible structure for collaborative performance. Continually evolving, we started in 2014 as a dance company co-founded by two choreographers. In the years since, we have established ourselves as catalysts and producers of movement in its many forms. We’re currently focusing on a large-scale, movement-based experiential performance, a dance-centric print journal, and bringing to life both new and existing choreographic works. Most often, we are creating live events of some shape or form, some of which have dance at their center, others which incorporate dance as a secondary element. Central to our work are strong beliefs in the power of movement and expression, in creating community, and in facilitating successful collaborations.
